NEW BOOK "Here's What We'll Say"
By television actor and
major hottie Reichen Lehmkuhl
Reichen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. (see follow-up story on the gayness of Cincinnati). A graduate of the Air Force Academy, a captain in the Air Force, a successful entrepreneur, an international model, a winner of CBS' Amazing Race, a Gay Rights Advocate.. all these and Reichen is only 33.
It is quickly apparent that once Reichen sets a goal, it is only a matter of time before he reaches it. Since winning the Amazing Race, Reichen has caught the eye of several casting directors and has already appeared on Frasier, The Drew Carey Show and The Young & The Restless.

Prior to Reichen's professional acting debut, he was playing the role of his life while in the Air Force. Not wanting to face a court martial for being gay, Reichen had to live in two different worlds. One world where he had to watch everything he did and said for fear of being outed; the other world where he was completely free to be himself.
"One of the hardest things for me to reconcile was the fact that I was completely open with my family and friends but faced the very real possibility of being court marshaled and going to jail if I was open with my 'work' colleagues."
As Reichen explains, "The don't ask don't tell policy is so contradictory to what the Air Force and all the armed forces stand for. They say they are all about honor, integrity and honesty but they force you to lie in order to serve your country."

It was the contradictions in this policy which ultimately led Reichen to opt out of the Air Force once he completed his commitment. Once out of the Air Force, Reichen had to figure out what he was going to do. Having been part of the very structured environment for so long, it was a big adjustment to be able to make decisions for himself but it was also extremely liberating.
His book, "Here's What We'll Say: A Memoir of Growing Up, Coming Out, and the U.S. Air Force"
it will be released Mid-October 2006. Published by Carroll & Graff, the deal was put together by the hottest new literary agents in the Midwest, Jonathon Scott, Inc.
WHILE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT CINCINNATI -
Cincinnati is a wonderful city in Ohio, well worth a visit. I first became familiar with Cincinnati through magicians Siegfried & Roy. I was doing some work with them and they were involved with Cincinnati's White Tiger breeding program at the Cincinnati Zoo.
But while I was there, I had a few days to explore the city. They have a great gay community, and the city is clean and very friendly! Often called the QUEEN CITY, they have lots of great clubs and bars like
THE DOCK and THE SERPENT. Cincinnati also has lots and lots of great restaurants.
Cincinnati thrives with history and culture and is home to many national monuments and attractions such as the Tyler Davidson Fountain in Fountain Square. The city is home to many museums such as the American Classical Music Hall of fame and many galleries such as the Carl Solway Gallery. The University of Cincinnati is another favorite attraction as well. Many other attractions include Coney Island of Cincinnati, Boomerang Bay Water Park, and the PNC Tower. Along with the abundance of attractions activities, Cincinnati is also known for its incredible selection of cuisine and is famous for many different foods such as Skylines Chili. With so many sites to see, Cincinnati provides its residents and visitors with an exceptional public transportation including access to the subway, METRO, and Amtrak services.
