KEY WEST FANTASY FEST
FANTASY FEST started in 1979 - when Key West was REALLY GAY! It's become a HUGE event,
but just not as gay as it used to be. Key West isn't as gay as it used to be actually. But it's still
a great tropical getaway.
Because Fantasy Fest draws so many tourists, hotels and bed and breakfasts are notorious
for hiking up the prices and requiring minimum stays of 3 to 4 nights during the 10-day period.
Many hotels are booked months in advance; visitors can expect to pay
$300 or $400 a night or more.
No birthday suits allowed! "Nudity is illegal.
Key West city code specifies that body paint does not constitute clothing.
Nudity is not allowed on public property or in public view."

Fantasy Fest in Key West is always a wild, weird, and wonderful event! But crowded!
If you really want to enjoy the island, go when it's not so crazy!
