Rob Sager - Brett Mycles Follow-up
A few months ago we ran a tribute after the sudden death of Rob Sager. Recently, his step father sent us a moving note, and I felt we should publish it and share it.......
As Robert has been in the ground for a bit now (Toledo Memorial Park) it's time clean up any doubts on what really happened in Chicago. Roberts rapid rise to the top of his game came with HARD WORK and a little help from his friends...He loved to work out and also to help others achieve their goals in Bodybuilding as well as the alternative Lifestyle .
His friends also included steroids however and this was the ultimate cause of his demise (not a bumbled prescription). Sorry Lori, but the truth MUST BE TOLD! His trip to Chicago was to MULE steroids back to Vegas and California, and upon testing them in his Motel room, his heart exploded.(Hey Chicago PD that's what the $6,000.00 was for) I couldn't figure out why he was getting so many air miles and sending them to my wife and stepdaughter for just training (lots of hauling).
Yes it's true, I'm his stepfather (he was raised by his Dad) I'm married to Cynthia Deters (formerly Sager) My lovely Wife for 14 years now....The whole reason I'm telling this story is a warning to all Who Work Out, A rapid rise to the top is just like a shooting star...You will burn brightly but BURN OUT WAY TO SOON and leave nothing but devastation in the lives of those who TRULY LOVED YOU! My Wife is inconsolable and has turned to drugs herself to lessen the pain and speed her demise so she can join him again wherever....Damn You Bob..Damn You for taking Yourself away and DAMN YOU FOR TAKING MY WIFE WITH YOU!!!

Did anyone verify this man's identity before posting this as "news".
He left a very similar rant on another website where he called his alleged stepson a "punk" and ended with , "THANKS BOB. ROT IN HELL!!!!"
If this man really wanted to have a positive impact, he would release the autopsy reports to a reputable news source, along with a rational statement.
This is just tacky, IMHO.

More RANTING. Bob is buried in lot#664 Toledo Memorial Park if anyone would like to know. Hey I knew Robert in his teens...and trust Me He was going down a bad road...You see I knew Him and You however didn't. The website Aries.com Lucas county Ohio has a link to Court papers if You have the time(the best was never recorded because of a out of Court deal) sadly Bob is DEAD and I really don't think He cares.

We can not confirm if this is real or not - we have tried to track down the source and cannot definately confirm it's authenticity......do you have any information that could help us? It's a sad story.

I don't believe the above letter. It is very unlikely that someone in his extended family would write such trash.
The author (allegedly a "marvin ellis", tuzzyjr@aol.com) is most likely a fantasist troll, posting outrageous nonsense to stir up trouble and spread wild rumors.

I wasn't sure what to make of it really.....could be true - could be false - but I felt it was worth sharing. It's such a sad story.....

I knew Rob fairly well. I met him one week before his death and took some photos which are on the internet (with a mirror behind him). He told me that Drs had told him he had an irregular heart beat. Concerned him but he did not consider it life threatening. But he was working out very hard and a week later he died in his sleep.
As I understand it his heart just stopped as a result of the irregular heart beat. Hearts do not Explode as the guy above suggests. I am absolutely sure he was not selling steroids or illegal substances. He was making good money as a model and doing private posing. He was a great guy who was very level headed and had his life in control.

Interesting just finding out about this guy, I def don't believe the story of Marvin Ellis, - other site suggests this guy was a stalker of Roberts... it seems there was a family history of heart problems...Brett Mycles (real name Robert Christopher Sager) (December 2, 1977 - February 25, 2007), was a successful muscle and fitness model. He was a featured model for the International Male clothing catalog. As "Brett Mycles" he gained fame as an American male pornographic actor.
He starred in several pornographic movies and posed in gay porn magazines. He worked in both gay and straight pornography. In a 2005 interview, he said that he recently married his high school sweetheart, whom he first met when he was 19 and she was 17.
Born in Houston, Texas, he moved to Ohio[1] and resided in the Los Angeles area. At 22, while in Ohio, he entered an Arnold Classic bodybuilding contest where he was spotted by photographer Irvin Gelb.
Sager was a "porn star," nude model, nude wrestler, fitness model and personal trainer. He also made regular appearances on a webcam site for paying fans.
He died in his sleep of heart failure on February 25, 2007. Weeks beforehand, family and friends report that he complained of irregular heart beats and said that his family had a history of heart problems.
