Kimpton Hotel is a Top Choice For Gay and Lesbian Travel

The KIMPTON Hotel and Restaurant chain has become the first lodging company to join forces with IGLTA - The International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, on a property-wide level!  Each of Kimpton's 41 distinct boutique hotels is a member of the association, positioning Kimpton as the leading hospitality company and a first choice  for gay and lesbian travelers.

We have written about their commitment before on this site. This new move further proves how much they embrace their gay and lesbian employees and guests! "Gay and lesbian travelers and employees have always been an important part of Kimpton HotelsThe gay and lesbian community is a perfect fit for Kimpton. The hotels are known for their hip and unique environments and Kimpton understands the needs of LGBT travelers. In working with every guest, each employee instinctively portrays the five elements of Kimpton, "Care, comfort, style, flavor and fun." We take the time to train our front desk staff not to make assumptions but instead to offer choices, even in small personal ways."

"We receive a lot of feedback from our gay and lesbian guests that they love our personalized care and service combined with our stylish and fun designs. Read what some of our most loyal guests have to say about Kimpton, and see what it is that keeps them coming back for more."

In 2004, Kimpton was also the first lodging company to score 100%  Human Rights Campaigns Corporate Equity Index - and they maintain that perfect score every year.

"We are very proud to be the first hospitality company to have all of our hotels members of IGLTA. We appreciate the support this very loyal  group of guests bring to Kimpton. We want to demonstrate our commitment to the community and show more people why Kimpton hotels are so special." said Steve Pinetti, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.
